E-Commerce Website Launch Increases Conversion Rates

Janie’s Cakes has been a long time partner of Agency Creative, running digital campaigns for over three years. However, they needed a more integrated approach in order to increase sales and project how truly delicious a Janie’s Cake tastes. To that end, Janie’s Cakes and Agency Creative decided it was time for a rebranding campaign which included a new e-commerce website.

Janie opened the Tyler, Texas doors to her bakery in 1987 using recipes handed down from her great-grandmother. Today, Janie makes every pound cake the same way she made her very first: from all-natural ingredients, farm-fresh eggs, real creamery butter, and with a huge dollop of her great-grandmother’s abiding love.

The integrated campaign consisted of a strategic website plan, responsive e-commerce website, robust email marketing campaign, an inventory of digital banners, all topped off with professional food photography.

“Janie’s has been a loyal partner of Agency Creative for years,” said Mark Wyatt, founder and CEO of Agency Creative. “It was time to create a beautiful website and campaign that really showed off their delicious cakes.”

The e-commerce website launched in October of 2015 and after running the first digital campaign consisting of website remarketing and display ads across Google and Bing platforms, pay-per-click ads and e-blasts, the results spoke for themselves.

The campaign showed a remarkable increase in performance with a 118.25% improvement in conversion rates and a 57% improvement in the cost per conversion compared to previous years.
